Have to agree - Moosey well knows that UNF needs processing - old fuel elements are arrays of highly radioactive UO2 capsules embedded in zirconium allow tubes - they are full of fission products and transuranic actinides all of which need to be processed in a "hot cell" to eventually be separated with one of the products being RePU (which has nuclear poisons contained in it - U236). It needs to be processed and this is currently not US government policy so pretty unlikely. France & Russia do have UNF processing plants but US UNF is unlikely given current US policy.
Yes there is U235 in UNF but unlikely to be exploited in the meaningful future - just another Moosey "rabbit"
