i agree, that American centrifuge got its jersey because of military use uranium needs. Perhaps it will be their main future, as it is high capital cost, but owned by the Doe (i think Centrus just operate it under a cost plus margin arrangement), so product costs can be somewhat controlled. I can understand how the yanks got into this uranium enrichment delema. When they closed down the uncompetitive diffusion plants the uranium industry was booming and private industry via Areva and Gle were licenced and ready to step in with new enrichment plants. If Fukashima hadn't of smashed the nuclear industry US enriched uranium production would have been up and competing years ago. So rather than poor policy i reckon very bad luck was at play. Fortunately for us it led to the opportunity to pick up some shares in the slump though.
