It's worth reading world nuclear news. Lots of articles saying urgent action required on climate change requires nuclear to participate u rgently in the solution. The article about the European stace mentions future innovation (laser and fusion). I take the reference to laser as meaning tails reprocessing by silex.
Seperatly if the world is waking up to the required urgent action in reducing co2, it seems logical that someone to be would point out that Japan has 30 odd idle reactors pretty much ready to be restarted.
Restarting these reactors would be huge for emissions in more than the obvious way. It would also dampen ever expanding development of new fossil fuel reserves.
Probably we all know it on this sight but solar, wind and thermal won't cut it by itself. Its either invest in nuclear or invest in houseboats.
