yep, i agree. As it is the last piece in the legislative puzzle for Silex, I just want them to pass the bill now. Primarily so i can stop watching Us congress. Its confusing and slightly depressing. i can see why the US enrichers need it before committing to expansion though. Private enterprise needs assured government protection against foriegn state sponsored products. Yeah the utilities might lose a few bucks untill domestic supply ramps up, but the foriegn influence Russia gains by allowing state sponsered nuclear production to dominate markets needs to be corrected as a priority. I think the US needs a lower cost production of enriched uranium to make this plan work long term though. No wonder the Doe has said it is watching Gle closely. A tecnology better than centrifuge operating on American soil really puts them in the box seat.
