Any idea can be patented but that doesnt mean it can be commercialised. They may be either trying to get some governent dollars or showing that their technology could enrivh uranium for military use which Silex (because of varyimg agreements cannot)
Silex is classified as top secret. Top secret does not have an expiry date unlike patents.
Sorry I have to go now I am working on my patent to enrich Uranium in space using the gravitational pull of planets. Its a slow process but it will work. I just need some seed money to pay myself a nice salary and off we go
