I don't know why you have posted that I subscribe to the Linear No Threshold Theory hypothesis.
What I have said is that the risk of developing cancer is increased because radiation is cumulative.
Individuals tolerance or susceptibility varies considerably. For this reason medical science, thankfully, lean towards caution regarding accumulated dosage and risksvs benefits are weighed accordingly.
There are different forms of cancer causing agents (carcinogens), by ingestion,inhalation and by radiation. Pinpointing the cause is difficult and the subject of much research.
