Description:
The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE or Department) seeks to buy Low Enriched Uranium (LEU). The purpose of this acquisition is to ensure that, in the event of a supply disruption in the nuclear fuel market, a commercial domestic capacity is available. To accomplish this, DOE intends to acquire LEU from new domestic enrichment capacity to support the commercial availability of LEU for U.S. commercial nuclear energy companies. For this acquisition, all LEU acquired by DOE through this contract shall be enriched and stored in the continental United States.
It is anticipated that an indefinite-quantity, indefinite-delivery (IDIQ) contract will be used, with the possibility that multiple awards will be made.
All deliverables are expected to meet all the requirements and guidance identified within the solicitation and/or by the COR.
Quantities of issued task orders are indefinite and based upon programmatic need. It is anticipated that multiple Task Orders will be issued.
Deliverables will be provided as defined by each individual Task Order.
