Legislation was required for AUKUS - (see HERE). Also s.140A of the 1999 Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act was modified add the paragraph
"(2) Paragraph (1)(b) does not apply to a naval nuclearpropulsion plant related to use in a conventionally - armed, nuclear - poweredsubmarine"
Para 1 (b) says "(b) a nuclear power plant;"
