Was it last year's AGM or the year before when MG stated that Germany's energy policy is a basket case?

It's deteriorating - Seem like the brainchild of the ALP

Habeck authority’s solar plan outrages businessAn explosive solar plan is causing massive criticism from companies of Economics Minister Robert Habeck (54, Green Party).

In the future, companies should adjust their production to wind strength and the duration of sunshine. This means that when it is very sunny and windy, they should produce a lot. When there is no wind, for example, they should produce less.

The Federal Network Agency (which is subordinate to the Ministry of Economic Affairs and is responsible for energy networks) wants to change the electricity network fees and reward or punish companies accordingly.

In an open letter to Habeck and Network Agency boss Klaus Müller (53, Green Party), the association warns of a "devastating signal for Germany as a business location." This is reported by WELT (which, like BILD, belongs to Axel Springer).

The authors also write: “In no other industrialized country are companies confronted with fluctuating, unpredictable power supplies.”

Other business associations are critical of the plan:

► Wolfgang Große Entrup (Managing Director of the German Chemical Industry Association) to BILD: "Our industry is already suffering from high electricity costs. For this reason, relief for electricity-intensive production processes must also be maintained in the new system. Flexible production according to weather conditions makes only very limited technical and economic sense."

▶︎ Christoph Ahlhaus (54, head of the SME association BVMW) to BILD: "Weather roulette is completely gaga. Machines and systems need reliable and affordable electricity around the clock, 365 days a year."

The Ministry of Economics defends itself

A spokesman for the Ministry of Economics told BILD: "Quite clearly: These are considerations of the Federal Network Agency that were put up for discussion, not plans of the minister." In addition, no one should be scared of electricity. Electricity is there. It is only about the grid fees. The question is: If the ministry is already distancing itself, can't Habeck whistle back at the head of the Federal Network Agency?
