SLX silex systems limited

As I understand it Silex did purchase CO2 lasers from SDI lasers...

    As I understand it Silex did purchase CO2 lasers from SDI lasers in the 2000's; SDI lasers were then a subsidiary of Klydon (now ASP Isotopes) but SPI lasers were sold by Klydon to PaR system (USA) in 2011 (see HERE). I have more detail in my post from 2/3/2024 - HERE. It's interesting to read the letters of association between the two "scientific advisors" to ASPI (see HERE). More details of ASPI are HERE - it appears that they even have aspirations to GLE Paducah tails (GLE have a contract with the US DoE for these). MG said at the AGM (last Friday) that Silex "scrapped all these lasers in 2016/17" - in this respect he was then referring to the know how of Christo Leibenberg (the current CEO of LIS Technologies) in regard to his current knowledge of the Silex current laser systems - MG said "he has no idea of the laser technology we now use". I found MG comment very interesting in that (to me) it inferred that Silex may have moved on from CO2 pulsed lasers (multiplexed) and Raman shifters (to produce a 15.916 micron (v3) beam). Displacing this complex technology is the primary unique selling of LIS technologies as expressed in their patent for CRISLA (see HERE - paras 17 to 19) which operates at v3/3 resonant harmonic of 15.916 micron which can be produced continuously by a CO2 laser. but has serious absorption issues (i.e this wavelength is almost transparent to UF6 - see para 30 of the CRISLA patent). To me MG appeared to be implying that this CO2 laser technology had now been superseded - a more advanced technology (and more reliable/flexible) would be to use Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL) - which can operate at our v3 wavelength but had insufficient energy - my thought is that Silex are "ganging" (combining) QCL laser to produce adequate energy and controlling the combined beams to a single (high energy) bean using the new Beam Control System (BCS) developed by Silex since 2015 (my conjecture is that this new technolgy resulted in the "scapping" of the multiplexed CO2 pulsed lasers at that time; from this I conclude that Silex does not have outstanding IP issues (our IP will no doubt be covered by "confidential" patents).
