IMHO it's mainly "vapourware" - aspiration which hasn't encountered the inevitable problems/limitations that William Pike considers (from a position of ignorance) to be avoidable and resulting from incompetence. Be interesting to see how they progress with AVLIS - clearly "energy" is an issue (operation in Iceland?) and as MG said "throughput" is also another issue combined with the serious corrosion issues experienced by previous attempts: all of which failed (after massive losses).- they will also need a metallic feedstock for uranium and ytterbium.(along with "trump" tariffs and NRC approvals/proliferation issues - South Africa is a signatory to non proliferation treaties - their domicile will be a major (IMHO) issue)
