I had solar installed in 2014. The same sized panels today Are approximately 1/2 the price and put out 60% more power. Because of out REC Renewable Energy Certificates, it costs the homeowner and the government (taxpayer) no more. The certificates are purchased by the polluters to offset their emissions. Rooftop solar subsidies are ramped so by 2030 they will be zero.
