I know that Ben Finegold of Oceanwall was warned about ASPI and I was surprised that this company (with a good reputation) still continued to provide them with publicity (paid but I understand in ASPI script); Oceanwall then went on to provided a rebuttal interview (see
IMO the background of Paul Mann is sufficient grounds to be suspicious particularly as he openly admits (above video) that he is not party (as a UK citizen) to South African confidential information on ASPI technology; he also does not have the necessary academic (or practical) background to understand their (secret) technologies which he says is not patented. The NRC (and USEC) reports and announcements (in the later 1990's) on AVLIS corrosion issues, throughput and also the subsequent French SILVA experience (see HERE) experience would be warning enough (at least for Quantum Leap - the ASPI uranium (and Ytterbium 176) enrichment subsidiary)). The WNA reports the French experience as
"Development of the Atomic Vapour Laser Isotope Separation (AVLIS, and the French SILVA) began in the 1970s. In 1985 the US Government backed it as the new technology to replace its gaseous diffusion plants as they reached the end of their economic lives early in the 21st century. However, after some US$ 2 billion in R&D, it was abandoned in USA in favour of SILEX, a molecular process. French work on SILVA ceased following a 4-year program to 2003 to prove the scientific and technical feasibility of the process. Some 200kg of 2.5% enriched uranium was produced in this"
