IMO General Matters are much more likely to be involved with LIS technologies than Centrus - LIST have a laser enrichment system which operates at 5.3microns (ours is at 16 microns) using a CO laser and uses "condensation suppression" as it's separation mechanism. The CEO (Christo Leibenbeg) work at GLE (laser) from 2006 to 2011. Their technology is at about TRL/3 to TRL/4 level (where we were in 2006) and has a number of advantages over our (2011) laser technology but has a much less efficient (~5000 times less efficient) absorption characteristics than our IR frequency but their laser is much easier to produce. MG stated at the last AGM that we now have completely different laser technology to that envisaged by LIS technologies from 2011 (I guess it is now semi-conductor based Quantum Cascade lasers (QCL) as an array or possibly PCSEL infrared lasers (see HERE). The fact is that modern semi-conductor lasers (QCL/PCSEL) lasers are now available that circumvent the limitations of the CO2 laser/Raman cell lasers used in 2011. Since 2011 we have also developed the BCS (Beam Control system) which stabilizes the laser beam & frequency.

Chemical separation methods we (in the past) abandoned although a small company (see HERE) does have a somewhat embryonic prototype which is involved with OKR on the ASX
