unsolicited opinion bb, so sorry. If i was to throw my two cents in, id say that Crisla,Alvis and Silex were all competing against each other in the late 90's, early 2000's. Alvis and Silex were pretty much going head to head as they had the same development partner in Usec, (usec at one stage dropped Alvis in favour of retaining Silex). Crisla had the advantage of being US origin tecnology. It appeared to me that during that period Silex was the clear winning technology of the three. They retained a development partner, kept going throughout the nuclear downturn and obtained an operation licence. I understand how the recovery in the Swu price might resurrect interest in all three techs, but i havn't seen anyone claim that Crisla or Alvis is now better than Silex.
