The interview below is very a very good read. Mark Mills is a Physicist and one of the smartest people in the Energy world. How do we get people like him to have greater input into such important scientific decisions in our world. People like Bowen will be exposed for their scientific illiteracy.
I really think we need a High Court of scientists that are appointed by their piers based on merit and preside over these matters of national interest and can over ride the politicians decisions based on science. Democracy is maintained and everyone can present their case before the court but the facts are debated and decisions are determined based on fact. Of course there can be appeals but only on scientific facts. Probably not perfect but certainly better then what we have at the moment. I also think that limits on national debt should be embeded in our constitution say maximum 20% of GDP and all loans must be paid off 5 years after they were created, this takes away the power of these "lunatics" to waste our money on schemes that will never work.
