I have conceded that for some northern European countries that are not blessed with abundant renewables, nuclear power is probably their better economic option currently.I don't doubt that your engineering background has influenced your opinions in a variety of issues. Perhaps some education in economics might redress the balance. $600 billion for nuclear power that won't be delivered until 2040, to produce 4% of Australia's power capacity, in a country that has no nuclear power industry and would take more than a decade to establish, is by almost every energy expert not paid by the nuclear industry, simply uneconomic, too late to help reduce emissions and as most Australians are aware, simply a ploy to extend the fossil fuel industries. Every State and Federal Inquiry into nuclear power has concluded that it is not suitable politically, economically or acceptable by the Australian public.

Find the link below to the 2024 ISP that is well worth reading. I'd like your thoughts on it. As the current 2026 ISP is being developed and is going through a similar process, perhaps you can offer your engineering perspective.
