Sewie, I don't have a preconceived view on Climate Change and Sea Level Rises etc etc et al. I don't have a position. My problem is that those who want to persuade and convince have not always been truthful. I live by the sea. It is not rising. Yet our Prime Minister offers citizenship to islands "being inundated". That is, sinking. So why not say that. Other "tipping points" (an alarmist term if I ever heard one) are not happening either. However the single thing that generates the most cynicism in my outlook is the much over used term "carbon". Nasty sooty black carbon. Of course there isn't any in the atmosphere at all. What there is is a few thousands of a percentage of carbon dioxide, a colourless odourless gas pumped into green houses to make plants grow faster. The presence of which in the atmosphere also promotes growth. The absence of which would cause all plant life to disappear and cause an ice age. Even if I was persuaded of some "tipping point" or other, who cares if Tasmania is warmer in winter?
