The article from the Farmington observer on Silex and Gle last week contained an estimate of power usage per SWU of enrichment of about 25kwh/swu for a Silex plant.
I wonder what their source was for that estimate and wether it is credible? Silex has always seemed pretty tight-lipped on direct comparison's to centrifuge apart from the much lower capital cost and higher efficiency lines.
If it is actually 25kwh/SWU, it's pretty impressive, as I think a modern centrifuge plant comes in at around 50Kwh/Swu
