I'm sure you guys know this but this is highly relevant to SLX because Trump just told the NRC to cut licence reviews to eighteen months and ordered DOE and DoD to build new reactors and restart US enrichment. The country only has one tiny Centrus HALEU line that turns out about nine hundred kilos a year and Russian supply ends after twenty twenty eight, so a huge gap just opened.
Global Laser Enrichment is fifty one percent Silex and forty nine percent Cameco and it is one of only two programs DOE is funding to solve that gap. In April twenty twenty five GLE picked up a half million dollar HALEU task order, started TRL six demo runs in Wilmington North Carolina, and is now talking with DOE about re enriching tails at Paducah Kentucky. Laser enrichment drinks less power than gas diffusion or centrifuges so it is the cheapest way to hit the twenty twenty nine deadline.
The executive order never says Silex by name, but any realistic plan needs either GLE’s laser tech or a massive Centrus buildout, and odds are Washington will use both. SLX matters and so does its partner Cameco.
