Fusion may be be the "holy grail" of energy if it can be proven commercially and is attracting investment also. So yes Bill is backing both maybe.In terms of competition with current and near term nuclear technologies (and the potential threat to SLX investors) there is one simple point that shuts down debate in my mind.Fusion cannot be developed, proven and widely deployed in time to prevent irriversable climate change.
Widespread Fusions place in the late part of this century may be as a replacement for ageing powerplants as Smr tech and conventional reactors are poised to replace coal now.
