    The first nuclear plant built was in Russia in 1954 and since then, 70 years hence, no nuclear material has ever been placed in a safe geological depositary despite many planned attempts. There is only one in the whole world, in Finland and to date no material has been stored there. Most nuclear waste accumulates at nuclear plant sites, which is hardly a safe idea as the current bombing of the Zaporizhzhia plant is demonstrating.

    Japan's solution to release radioactive waste into the Pacific ocean is a problem future generations will have to deal with.
