wind turbines apparently worked okay. (Renew economy, so may be a bit biased) solar, it's the middle of winter there, so not a lot expected. Real problems with gas, most supply pipes frozen (many components in natural gas will freeze, blocking pipes) imagine a coal plant with stockpiles and conveyors under a metre of snow. Point being nuclear is not subject to external fuel supply issues except if duration was extremely long. Funny how renewables get blamed for everything though.
