I’m very pro nuclear. However, where I think we will come across some speed bumps is getting over the health concerns people have. Imagine Scomo trying to sell the building of a nuclear plant in Australia. The Greens would have a field day and people would be scared they would get cancer or their babies come out mutated. It’s a big hurdle to communicate to the not so educated why this is not a serious problem risk.
personally I think we need more clearer advertisement on the advancement in technology which have happened since the past nuclear accidents, dealing with nuclear waste, and the increase in safety of mining of uranium. Get that across the line, and the rest of the story is easy.
However, we are lucky that we just need other countries to increase nuclear energy (China etc - got to love a dictatorship ) to be able to make some coin off this.
