It has its demographic readership to satisfy and sell to and unfortunately its just another echo chamber of opinions :
left of centre economically, socially liberal, middle class educated urban boomers. Prius drivers . Traditionally anti nuclear.
Very rarely will it deviate from its established 50 year old line. Same goes in reverse for all the other papers on the right wing. Sometimes the Financial Times has some different and interesting columnists and articles that are a breath of fresh air, less confined to party politics and just plain rational.
