    IAnyway it's good that they scrapped the outdated diesel duds in favour of proper nuclear subs . There's always gonna be a perceived blow out for such a long term investment.

    It will have a flow-on effect, open up the nuclear industry in Australia for its power needs (and for the global supply chains it creates) as well as for medical research, given all the uranium we have, especially if we're trying to move away from carbon-based technology, We will potentially create an innovative industry with a lot of jobs and attract more skilled workers.

    It's also important to maintain the status quo or at least keep a level playing field with China who's attaining too much power.
