I'm a coalition voter for my reasons,but i still remember rob andrews naive comments on how proud he felt pulling 600m communist chinese out of poverty. Simplistic stupidity when we had Australians in poverty and a population of approx 25m at that stage.Lucky china started the conflict because we were about to increase WA crayfish exports on direct flights to shanghai ,shanghai having a population of Australia.Without doubt we would have been eating vietnamese crayfish. But its a never ending story,bob Hawke leading a chinese consortium to buy ord 2 while a labor govt was in power and there was a consortium of Australian buyers. Its a never ending story and y imo only just leave it to the experts that do the construction. Maybe thats just much common sense for a govt and not enough red tape. Anyway,there building the sub facility in SA ,i just hope someone says we are going to need a longer facility otherwise we will have the butts of the subs protruding from the buildings.
