How can anyone have faith in a govt that may have to cough up as suggested in media up to $20billion taxpayers money in compensation to France for breaking its contract.
The new deal with the US and UK they say is going to cost more than the $90billion contract with France and we are not even likely to see one sub for at least ten years.
That they ditched one contract at potentially great cost for nothing delivered and sign up to some long term deal that will cost much more reflects an incompetence of staggering proportions.
Taxpayer money is being thrown around like confetti and near term does nothing for the security of our country.
