what the military/industrial yanks have to do is to find a way to push US government funds to Oz - so Oz can pay those funds for American arms.
Also, they will be trying their best to get the US government to spend money on building bases etc in Oz and nearby
it's really that simple
that they break Oz at the same time is irrelevant to them
the big risks for Oz
1. someone will hit a button accidently and Sydney will be smoke and ashes
2. Oz will disappear economically
let's sort of hope that it doesn't go the same way that history shows us how other nations getting America as a 'helper' has gone
