The problem with going nuclear is a combination of ignorance and lack of political will. There is a fear campaign around nuclear by the usual groups. It’s hard to get facts around the process as so much misinformation and political BS gets spread around. Most of our unreliable renewable equipment is made off shore. We are chasing chicken little thinkers down the road of unreliable, high cost power that cannot keep up with immigration, let alone Albos dream of building any industry in Australia. Why would or could an industry survive with the insane ever increasing cost of power, wages, unions, insurance, rent, entitlements, and endless govt costs. I am an optimist, but it’s amazing to think the system has been designed by people who don’t understand business at all. It’s the dumbest system in the world. It’s like having drunk people design drinking laws. Australian govts have spend endless time and other peoples money to make systems complicated, inefficient, top heavy, expensive and unreliable. Look at the tax system!. It’s a messy black hole of stupidity and complexity designed by bureaucrats. It takes 10 people to dig a friggen hole. Look at our PM for starters. A professional career politician with no practical experience in industry, employment or economics. He is a walking photo op with very limited skill set. The govt has basically helped divide the country and lift the cost of living on everything. It’s very frustrating when we end up with idiots interfering with logic. Think about the skill less people in Canberra, and then think about getting nuclear done. They have zero ability to get anything done and they can’t lead. He wasted over half a billion on a referendum that was doomed from the outset. That money would have given us a lot of studies, costings and awareness programs around nuclear, but it was wasted on political game playing. That is the bigger problem the country faces with everything including turning to nuclear power. We are run by fools.

More excuses to not answer the questions about nuclear power, eh ? Despite all the failings of our political system, particularly 9 years off do nothing COALition , we are still managing to successfully roll out renewables, aren't we ? Funny how nuclear power had such a head start and yet its been comprehensively smashed by renewables .
