An interesting articles on AFR this Sat about Rudd & Co in regarding nuclear energy:
The Prime Minister who will be Bali this week, is looking for just such a "credible scenario" to slash Australia's emissions by mid-century. But Rudd and his Co want to do this without nuclear power.
Rudd and Labor being anti-nuclear is a long-held position.
It should also be noted that the motion to expand uranium mining passed at last (this) year's ALP national conference only so as not to embarrass the leader.
A deal was done. Those who would have voted against the motion were not in the room when the numbers were taken.
