We as humanity can thank coal for the current lives that we all, as a world all enjoy, without it god knows how far down the industrial age we would now be.
Coal has played a pivotal but controversial role in human progress. While it powered industrialization and saved lives by preventing extreme cold/heat deaths, its environmental negatives has not been great.
But as they always say, eventually all good things must come to an end, for the sake of advancement of the human race.
This is now the pivotal time & place for the advancement in research & development of future modern Nuclear generated electricity.Economic & Technological Impact
Industrial Revolution (18th–19th century): Coal enabled mass steel production, railways, and factories, lifting billions out of agrarian poverty.
Electrification (20th century): Coal provided cheap, scalable energy where alternatives (hydro, nuclear) were geographically or technologically limited.
Developing nations (21st century): China and India used coal to rapidly industrialize, lifting ~1 billion people out of extreme poverty since 1990.
Without Coal, Progress Would Have Been Slower
No coal = delayed industrialization by 50–100 years (until nuclear/hydro scaled up).
Lower GDP/capita: Studies suggest global GDP would be ~30% smaller today without fossil fuels.
