The increasing cost of Snowy 2.0 should be a good pointer for what a nuclear plant would cost to build here, unless the LNP can produce some figures that make it stack up and then where to put it, looks like an election losing dub policy to me. They should be pushing for gas peaking plants in the Latrobe Valley at Hazlewood,Yallourn and Loy yang where the coal plants are and are already wired to go. The estimate of gas contained in the brown coal fields in the LV is 60% of what the Bass strait contained.
