Good to see some new interest in the Ag sector. As someone who has spent more than 50 years on the land it is currently the best looking “drought “ I’ve ever seen in my area which happens to be regarded as a food bowl region.
I think you’re already seeing those good buying opportunities. I like also to only buy at the right price and that’s why we can have volatile markets when people disagree on what price is good.
My accurate rainfall figures over 45 years has shown the average has actually increased on my farm over the past 20 years despite us being predicted to have lower rainfall and the millennial drought, however what I have observed is changing rainfall patterns, when it falls and more intense periods of both wet and dry.
I expect NUF’s next financial announcement to be better than their very pessimistic recent forecast. I suppose we’ll find out soon enough!
I expect the Bureaus next drought figures will show some improvement in conditions.
