You are assuming there will be future gains? But they are from an operational and business perspective in a far worse position than before they went into va.
They have come out of VA with the IP and $6mln plus in the hole and nothing else.
They have to literaly rebuild the business and to go for a single chip solution means another type of deal with a semi conductor maker. Perhaps they will adopt a different model?
Which ever way you cut it significant investment is required and they have effectly lost 2 yrs and yet they will need another 18 months at least to get into a viable position
As the other poster said, where were the sharks? This increasingly to me looks like a bunch of guys caught up in their own sunk costs fallacy.
