Point was kindly made clear by Gerrado a few posts back Dudley, but for your benefit:
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code
Now please look at what specifies IPX7 - "Immersion, up to 1 meter (3 ft 3 in) depth, Test duration: 30 minutes, Tested with the lowest point of the enclosure 1,000 mm (39 in) below the surface of the water, or the highest point 150 mm (5.9 in) below the surface, whichever is deeper."
Are Nuheara products waterproof? What is their IP rating? (from the company website)
https://support.nuheara.com/hc/en-us/articles/360005731434-Are-Nuheara-products-waterproof-What-is-their-IP-rating-
"They have not been tested formally to determine their IP (Ingress Protection) rating, however, the internal electronic circuits are coated with NanoProof water protection technology, which claims protection equivalent to IPX7."
I think you would agree that coating the internal circuitry in "Nanoproof" is not equivalent to providing an ingress protection rating specified above. That is like saying a builder shouldn't worry too much about the flashings on a new house roof, as all the occupants are all going to wear raincoats.
All in my opinion of course.
