Actually these have been around for a while. especially for motorcycle rider/pillion use. There is an outfit called SENA make a very good product. It works off bluetooth and their bluetooth transmitter has a range of 100-200 metres - so it is pretty high powered. That could also be an external accessory that Nuheara could make. Use cases are for motorcyclists wishing to communicate with one another on a run, For bush walkers, maybe even cavers(?) Barstaff, or to keep in touch when at a show or exhibition.

The SENA arrangement is a headset with narrow earpieces worn inside the helmet and a boom mike with a foam cover - this keep the wind noise down - important on a motorbike.

For IQbuds to be useful in this regard you really need an extended range bluetooth transmitter.
