i dont believe that is a certified rating... below is from nuheara FAQs:The IQbuds™ and IQbuds™ Boost are sweat proof and water resistant. They are suitable for exercising and exposure to light rain. However, we do not recommend taking a shower or swimming while wearing your IQbuds™ or IQbuds™ Boost. They have not been tested formally to determine their IP (Ingress Protection) rating, however, the internal electronic circuits are coated with NanoProof water protection technology, which claims protection equivalent to IPX7.
...but regardless, i am still curious to know how much jbe will expose buds (he has stated he will never own) to water such that an IP rating would be so interesting... or anyone else for that matter ...unless they often drop their electronic devices in puddles, the kitchen sink/toilet?
