How is Walmart a wrong turn? They have always needed a very large retail footprint and they get this via Walmart. They are better off with Walmart than not. Would you prefer they did not have Walmart?
Sales = (avg sales per POS) X (number of POS)
The pathway was set out by Ivan Kelly, scaling the number of POS is key.
There is no guarantee things will change ? There are no guarantees in anything, but a large footprint that dwarfs anything prior, I would speculate they will sell more than they ever have previously.
There are actually 3 prongs to their business now of which retail is one.
