Look at the SP, if the takeover story had no substance to it, why hasn't the SP dropped back to 66? Simple, the CEO hasn't had any formal or written offers, but I'll bet he knows of plenty of discussions in the shadows. He could have given the shareholders confidence in his integrity by stating "we are not aware of any takeover offers, formal or informal whatsoever". Only problem is that a statement such as this might see visit the inside of a gaol cell. I wouldn't trust this guy one iota to do the right thing, but I trust him without question when it comes to self interest. Hence I have bought shares confident that the CEO knows that a takeover offer is just around the corner....it looks like I am not alone in my cynicism here...
