Recession is yesterday's news mate smart money knows about it already
What do you think the Eurodollar futures and bond curve flattening has been signalling like months ago already?
When people like Jamie Diamond and MS start being wheeled out saying be scared, to frighten the wildebeest - they stampede.... sure.. but that's like etf's with huge flows in largecaps. The sell off has been sector specific. Most tech is down 50% already. World wide. Ist tech. Then large caps (which have "only" fallen 10-15%)
So by the time you read recession in news paper RBA and Fed has crushed the economy already.. growth stocks would have rallied 25-50% you've fallen asleep at the wheel and woken up and stocks like this have rallied back to (almost) pre recession prices..
Blow off top here we come...
Don;t be fooled by the big merchant banks and their trading desk and non chinese walled fundies with their bearish growth stock targets.
Fed and RBA won't tighten much they will be doevish as all hell, when they finally wake up to how bad the economy is...
Australia has just elected to mother of all socialist governments who will protect labor markets until the cows come home
Sure..that means ongoing inflation and a falling AUD but people will still be "employed" and be able to still spend so what do you want to hold?
Nimble tech stocks with low (inflationary) costs or big whale stocks with rising labor costs?
