noomxx, this is a bit off topic but im eager to hear your thoughts. i tagged you because you kept mentioning never buy a stock because a similar stock is trading at a slightly higher price, and intrinsic valuation is critical. i thought you were just trying to pick cheapies, but after some digging on many growth stocks' past valuation i changed my mind.
you mentioned before "market has fallen in love with growth stocks in recent years", i only started after the covid crash so didn't know the state of growth stocks many years before. but i checked the valuation of quite a few tech stocks im interested in, both on asx and in the s&p, and they were trading at much lower EV/ebitda and p/e years ago, despite the cagr being roughly the same, or even slower now. i also mentioned to you csl was a screaming buy back in 2013, even 2014/2015 it was still good priced. what do you think caused this massive multiples expansion? i don't think it's just lower yields.
