what I dont get is, and I am sure there is a logical reason, but if they need to monitor where they dump the waste for 100's of years, surly the safe and cost effective way is to wack it into oil drums, and shoot it into the sun with an electro magnetic cannon.
They have electromagnetic cannons that can shoot objects into space allready, its proven posible. so why cant they just do it with nuke waste, problem solved then! and very cheap.
