What about the auxiliary equipment and control equipment associated with solar and wind farms.
In my opinion there is no need at all for solars farms, we have enough roof top area to fulfil our needs according to some experts.
This removes one environmental vandalism by restricting usage to an already damaged environment.
Urban areas are basically heat banks and placing solar panels on roof tops will only marginally increase the heating.
Did u work at a large power station or on some smaller businesses that had there own generation unit?
