Thinking back, I did submit a post a couple of years ago about the sand bypass system that replenishes Gold Coast beaches. The system pumps sand from south of the entrance of the Tweed River to outlets near Snapper Rocks at the very southern end of the Gold Coast. Nature then takes care of the rest, moving the sand north to replenish the other beaches.
The project is funded by both NSW and Queensland governments. The project is worth $106 million.
The sand slurry is pumped by diesel powered pumps.
Replacing these pumps with CETO would do away with the very expensive fuel costs.

The following article relates to the replenishment of beaches damaged during hurricane sandy. The cost will be in the order of $146 million.

There could be a very big market for an efficient sand replenishment system that does not use fossil fuel for pumping.
