Sushi,
could you please point to where on the internet it states that SSN is traded as "securities" on the AMEX ?
All the information that I have come across states that SSN is, still, traded on the AMEX as ADR, with the Bank of New York being the holder of the ASX ordinary shares to which it has issued the receipts to brokers.
AWC, BHP, GENE, LIHR, NVGN, PRAN, SMS, SSN, WBK.
SSN is not a dual listed company, as defined by the ASX listing rules.
The difference being that these ADRs are traded through an exchange, rather than Over The Counter (OTC) as most other ADR/GDR are. There are only a handful of Australian company ADRs that are actually traded on an American exchange.
Though, I do wonder how long it will be before SSN is delisted from the ASX, and the shares listed on the AMEX, with CHESS receipts issued and being traded on the ASX ?
