Yes, market cap is the bottom line, but.....a bit of history.
Posiedon, the old one, went to $280 in a short time. Market cap argument or not, one of the reasons was that it had just 2.5 million shares on issue. So once the scramble started there were few shares available.
While a lot of shares does not mean no rise, having a very small amount available, - providing the company has the goods, - certainly hastens the action.
