It's not the thinking parents that are the problem ....
Anyway, if we just banned all colourings perhaps an orange would look more attractive than a colourless lolly! All problems solved.
Bananas, apples, beetroot would all look stunning (as a kid I luuuuvvved pickled beetroot - which I would grow and pickle myself, so no colourings involved)
