The problem is deep seated and comes down to two middle eastern/semetic tribes that have been formed on the basis of conflicting religion. Whether the Pallies have a better claim to the land than the Jews is a mute point. Many would argue the Jews originally came from the east and some would say maybe but many from the area converted to Judaism.

Fact is they need to get along with each other or face more centuries of death and destruction.
