if you pivot back to 2009-2012 & 2020 there was a strong enough narrative & consensus back then they believed the gold price was heading much higher.

let's not kid ourselves, in 2020 during the global lockdowns, we all thought it there was going to be a massive shakeup to the global financial system & order. The pace of the rise in the gold price and momentum suggested that. Meaning, it'd make sense to keep buying because the gold price would just keep heading higher. turned out to be the biggest head fake.

fast forward today, the gold price appears high but the difference is that there is no narrative... at least not one the general investors believes... Sure, we can say, risk of war, china, inflation, secular bull market, comex manipulation etc are reasons why gold will move higher... but... does everyone truely believe this? and can back with the same conviction as 2009-2012 & 2020? the answer is NO..

which is why it is better to conserve cash, do nothing, wait till there is interest in the sector again. We all have seen cap raises done at premiums when sentiment is hot..@danbradster your advice to keep moving forward at all cost IMO is dangerous. which company have you seen that has implemented a move forward at all cost and destroying shareholder capital ended up yielding a positive outcome?

as a general rule of thumb for exploration plays. it is the MARKET that determines the direction the company heads and what it does.
